When you have braces, food particles can often get trapped in the wires and brackets, and should be cleaned out at regular intervals of the day in order to prevent cavities and to prevent gum inflammation. Here are some tips for better brushing with braces.

Consider an Electric Toothbrush

To keep your teeth clean, you can use a regular toothbrush or an electric toothbrush. Although both types of brushes will work, electric toothbrushes can be more efficient than manual brushes. Studies by the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics have shown that an electric toothbrush can promote better oral hygiene for those with braces. Have Regular Dental Checkups

Flossing and brushing at home is very important but so is keeping up to date with your dentist. Have A Consistent Oral Hygiene Routine

Between dental visits, you should be taking great care of your teeth by practicing good oral hygiene. Some ways to get the best results from your oral hygiene routine are:

• Brush your teeth at least 3 times a day
